03.10.2009. TARJA TURUNEN meets the fans

 

Finnish Soprano Tarja TURUNEN is still touring on her solo album 'My Winter Storm' and has come to Munich for the second time with an almost entirely new band. She played at the Muffathalle on the 2nd of October, 2009. At the end of her set which featured her own songs as well as many pieces from her former band NIGHTWISH (She Is My Sin, Sleeping Sun, etc) and various goodies and covers, she and her band sat in the middle of the audience to play several more pieces. A beautiful show it was, with a professional, flawless vocalist.

30.09.2009. FINNTROLL at Metal Invasion Festival

 FINNTROLL are the first band ShutterBLAST ever toured with and also some of our oldest Finnish friends. They headlined the first day of the Metal Invasion Festival at the Niederbayernhalle near Passau on the 18th of September 2009.

ShutterBLAST's oldest friends NORTHER were around when we first launched the website and have been supporting us ever since. They are the band we have photographed the most so far and we are glad to be the first to provide professional high-quality live pics of their new line-up.

24.09.2009. NIGHTWISH's final show in Helsinki

 

After two years of touring on their latest album Dark Passion Play, Finnish-Swedish quintet NIGHTWISH delivered their final homecoming show at Helsinki's mythical venue Hartwall Areena on September 19th, 2009.

 

The show featured many pyros, guest musicians, snow, confetti and even a waterfall, but photographers were only permitted to shoot the song 'Ever Dream'. More photos will be uploaded a bit later.
