Trying my best to capture and deliver the rawest musical experience to all. I pen down my impressions in various magazines, and provide them with raging live and session photos. I prefer the spontaneity of the moment rather than a technically perfect photo, and choose to use the best lenses around rather than having to use flash. I use a soft external flash when absolutely necessary only to avoid visual carnage. My preferred subjects are musicians in movement, the hardest thing to catch on virtual film, given the action, smoke, strobes and lack of light. A shredding guitar, a headbanging viking, a nutcase blowing fire or a moment in the spotlight are my drug. I focus mainly on shooting details and I like transversal lines, for example the 5 strings of a bass, a jumping singer or unusual angles. In session photography I like to show a band in an interesting setting. Not to distract the eye but on the contrary to put he band forward. I am the Editor of the famous Swedish Webzine www.tartareandesire.com, and a contributor to the best print Metal magazines such as TERRORIZER in the UK or METAL HAMMER in Germany. These are only a few examples as I have contributed to countless media over the years, in print, video and on the net. My services include live and press photography, session and promotional photography and field/reporter photography. In real life, I'm a junior executive in a Multinational Corporation. I currently reside in a Boeing 747 travelling between Munich and Helsinki. ShutterBLAST is NOT a webzine and is not trying to be. I am a hired pen, and I feel my contributions touch more people on a real magazine run by people who know what they are doing. ShutterBLAST exists because the cited magazines are not able to publish all my photos. I created this site so that fans can have access to more photos than simply the article illustrations and also to link all my work on one site. I do not intend to compete with my magazines.
